Ah yes! Of course we knew we couldn’t create a student lifestyle site without telling you the best places to party and have the craic! Here we’ll mention our favourite places to have a good time in Limerick City.

We’ll start lightly with a nice pub. Nancy Blakes – A nice old fashioned, classic pub. For one of those nights where you’d rather have a few nice pints (instead of getting pure mouldy). A real cosy pub perfect for those cold winter days, when the weathers good however, there’s a lovely outdoor area to chill in the sun. Live authentic Irish music on Tuesdays. The craic is ninety in Nancy Blakes!

To liven it up a bit, we move onto House, located in Howley’s Quay, very central. A great cocktail bar with some great tapas on offer. It has received some fine reviews particularly for its food and its riverside view. House has a wonderful selection of wines, whiskeys and beers. House brings a great atmosphere and will definitely bring you a good time.

We can’t make a list without mentioning Smyths Bar Club Icon. A great bar for sports, and fantastic live music and when you’re feeling the party mood, a nightclub to party the night away. One of the more popular places in the city, students love D’Icon. 

We’ll finish off on Dolans Pub. Situated a bit outside the centre of the city, but well worth a walk. Well known for it’s live music sessions. Dolans is a great pub to have the craic. It’s warehouse hosts many larger concerts and DJ’s. It’s a real typical Irish pub where you can’t go wrong.
